As the title says, Scott mentioned that we want to sway away from fighting games for the gaming events/tournaments. So my question is, what kind of game would you like to play, and which games do you think would be good? Also, we'd of course like to keep it japanese, hence my weird examples. Anyway, I'll just let the discussion commence.
For the record, I think Mario Kart or Donkey Konga's a good choice for our next event.

Definitely go for rythmn games. I highly doubt that yugioh is possible to little of us play(me, you, ling, and most people who don't come here). But yeah we gotta get away from only fighting games. Maybe we should do team games or something so we have 2vs2.

I'd like to see some shooters (I don't know about Metroid Prime so much, but I know that Red Steel has a 2 on 2 multiplayer mode. Or we could go for a high score in Time Crisis/House of the Dead, I think those are Japanese.
As for other rhythm games, I'm not so sure - other than DDR and Donkey Konga, I can't think of other Japanese rhythm games, although I'm sure there are more out there.

I don't think we should go into shooters, depending on how the shooter is it not gonna be playable to everyone. Fighting games are easy tap buttons own get a combo. Shooters require a bit more skill and practice as in everyone plays it alot. I think we want games that are ona playable level even to those who don't have the games.
