Hmm, if you couldn't guess from the title and the place this was posted, this thread is basically me asking if you buy manga.
I for one rarely ever bought 'Anime' DvDs, as I felt I didn't get a lot of story for my money, ussually four episodes for $10-$20.
I loved mangas because, compared to American Comics, we get a lot more pages and a lot more story for our money.
But after I found out I could read mangas online for free... i can't say I've bought a manga since.
So tell me, do you buy manga? Am I evil for not buying them anymore?

I use to buy a lot of manga too. I don't do it as much anymore since all my money really goes towards cosplay now. As for you being evil... somewhat? If you really enjoy the series, you should buy it. Show your support and buy it if you want to call yourself a true fan XD

I dont think they sell e-book versions of manga so until then I probably wont buy anything because of space. Storage is a big issue for me and since digital media can be sotered almost anywhere its nice, also dvds are pretty easy to stack like getting a spindle that holds 100 cds/dvds etc. But yea I dont buy. Regardless most stuff I read isnt even in english yet so unless i learn to read japanese its kinda useless. And I havent read manga for like a few months now :/ Also i read alot in bookstores/library so normally I never need to buy, and whatever they dont have I just request I get hook ups from my local librarian, well one of them, she orders stuff once a month woot.

Yeah, I guess more or less we're pretty much the same.
Hmm... I pretty much decided to not buy anything other than continuations of what I already have, and only if I see them. Add onto that the fact that I rarely go to check anymore and most likely read it online already, you can almost say I probably will never buy it again.
Even if I really like a series, it's not like I have the money to spend... there are things I want... I probably won't get a next gen console until there is a newer gen out already.

lol tell me about it. I bought a used N64 when I was a senior in highschool, like in 2004-ish...and I think its been out since like 2000 or maybe earlier... But I only spent 40 bucks and I got 10 games with it....lol. still works 100% fine even today. and I still play it like once a month whenever.
I think buying manga is more of a collectors thing because once you read it a few times you just stack it/arrange it with the rest of them....its just another wall ornament. Which reminds me the Dragonball and dragonball Z manga bindings were RAD cause they had the design in which you needed the entire series of volumes to make a cool picture ^^

Oh yeah, I didn't care for Dragon Ball collecting, but for some reason those bindings made me want to reconsider more than once.
I also have a working N64... perhaps we should have an original smash bros tourney or something.

Oh cool, Stadium, I never played those with the gameboy games like you were supposed to, but come to think of it at the time it came out, I had everything I needed except Stadium it's self... wonder why I never thought to ask for it.
